    • The goal of Primary Children’s Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Department is to enhance the quality of life for children with disabilities. We aim to make the most of the child’s potential—both during childhoodand later, as an adult. Managing spasticity is one part of our comprehensive rehabilitation department. Primary Children’s Spasticity Care Team is specially trained to manage spasticity in children, adolescents, and young adults. This handbook aims to give both parents and healthcare providers with a better understanding of spasticity and options for its management.

    • FAAST, Inc., through support from the Florida Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, has just completed research and development of a comprehensive 14-page general self-help resource guide to assist students with disabilities who are not in special education but are eligible to receive reasonable accommodations and auxiliary aids and services pursuant to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Our groundbreaking research has educated the medical community about the unique needs of children with spinal cord injuries and led to innovative treatment techniques for both children and adults.
